Cannot Get Mail - Username or password for "BTinternet" is incorrect
Hi
Is anyone else with BT Internet and getting frequent messages on their iphones/tablets saying Cannot Get Mail. Username or password for "BTinternet" is incorrect?
I don't understand this as my desktop PC still receives and manages email so it can't be a hacked account. I'm reluctant to keep deleting and reinstalling my email account/changing passwords etc on the handheld devices but not sure what else to do.
A real ballache as I'm currently expecting an important email and now having to use the PC at home..
Thanks
Nick

Hi,
Yes, I've been getting it most of the day too, phone and laptop keep saying login details are incorrect.
According to the BT email login page they are aware of problems and trying to fix it.
Mark.

That sort of message usually suggests that the mail server is down - I haven't had that for a while though. Whether there are different servers for mobile devices or not, I don't know.

Thanks guys, it seems to have righted itself later on the same day as my original post.
Will know next time it's likely a server issue rather than some hacker.
Cheers
