Got told I had critical updates, decided to download them........Funky new page all XPish....looks great....doesn't sodding work, but it looks great. It has been trying to look at my OS to decide what is installed for 3 hours now and is still sitting at 0%

LOL at MS

Just try it again - mine stuck at 75% for ages. I just killed it and tried again and it worked.
There are only 13 CRITICAL updates so far so don't worry too much

somehow the windowsupdate.com look different when using XP than windows 2000/98/95.
