S6 is a cracking phone but 1gig internet is bad. I use o average 10gig and over every month so if you actually use your phone you will go over 1 gig.

Over what term contract, 24 months ?

New outright purchase of S6 starts at £480

Is it cheaper to get sim deal and buy phone?

As Andy said, get yourself phone and sim only deal, I pay £12 pm with unlimited internet, can't remeber how many minutes and texts but never gone above and I'm talkin a lot
Everything works cheaper in that way if I would take i6 on 24 months contarct

problem is then after 14 months it breaks and you have to buy another one, where as if you get phone on contract its covered.

found that out with my current one, just got a new handset when the power button packed up

Because you can usually get insurance cover included at no extra cost on contract. If you bust yours, or it goes wrong out of warranty its gonna cost you an arm n a leg to replace or get fixed.

Anyway its not a lot more expensive than buying the phone outright if you get the right contract deal and the cost is spread over the contract period rather than a big lump sum for the handset. Contract does have its advantages.

I get free insurance through my bank so no worries about breaking it, time you add up the costs over 24 months you could have bought 2 phones so the free insurance with a contract makes no sense lol
