Apple email problem ~ password blocking !
My wife uses the Applemail email system on the iMac with BT as the service provider. She uses it for lots of work related tasks. The email is becoming a real pain ! It keeps blocking her and saying the password is not recognised so she changes it and all is ok for perhaps an hour or so, sometimes a day or so and then it all starts again, password not recognised so she changes back to the original and ..... repeat.
She also uses an ipad and the email is fine on this, no issues but she has to change the password on that whenever she changes it on the imac. She can do only so much on the ipad with email and needs to use the imac. As there is no problem with the ipad and email we assume it must be a glitch in the OS 10.6.8 system. We have reset permissions, verified, run antivirus and Onyx but all to no avail. So, before we unplug and have to trail off to the the Appleshop to see if they can do anything ( a trek, not close) is there anything else we can do/try other than find a big hammer ~ frustation levels are high !!!
