Is there anything that will remove the dirt and crap built up on the vains of my STI tmi?

Really lets the engine bay down after you have cleaned it.

i used gunk, then washed it with a hosepipe, dont use a jetwash though or a hard brush as you will bend the vains.
let the gunk soak in and brush with a soft paint brush if required.

I just used alloy wheel cleaner and rubbed it with a 2" paint brush. comes up a bit too shiney for my liking though. looks like i bought it from halfords
