Default Light Scratches

Hi,

I have a few minor scratches, one of them is on the driver side passenger door.

I used to use T-cut on this sort of thing, but I don't have it for black.

Anything you recommend?

Currently I'm using the whole blackice range...

Regards,

J

Will you be working by hand or machine?

What age of car is yours? (Paint hardness on Subarus varies by age).

(When you say Blackice, do you mean Blackfire? http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...-products.html)

Not sure that you'll be able to get that out by hand .......... even wet sanding will need a machine to finish it off..........

I had a few scratches like that on my blobeye. I sorted them out when i did the stone chips last summer. Was a paint, sand and polish job.
http://www.paints4u.com/ErrorPage.as.../AboutP4u.aspx
got the paint form there then once it had dried after the chips/scratches were well filled it was wet sanded back the polished up.

First time i'd done anything like that but it came out great. Just take some patience and a steady hand.

I think you will maybe 'minimise' that scratch, but I think it's too deep really to fully correct (difficult to judge for sure without seeing it in the metal).

I suggest Menzerna 203S http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...erna-203s.html with a light cut hand pad: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...pad-cat24.html which might help to take it back - working by hand this is as aggressive a polish as you can use.

It may correct with this, it's difficult to say for sure.

Your next course of action would be to fill it with glaze, the one with the most 'fill' is R222 http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...-cleanser.html just work this in by hand, then buff it off. You need to then seal it in with wax or sealant.

If your unsure of anything, give me a call or email me at enquiries@polishedbliss.co.uk - I can guarantee a faster response that way, as can't reliably say when I'll be on here.
