Christmas Clean WRX
The wait is over! Here is want I have been doing today...cleaning my dads WRX still dirty from Wales Rally GB.
Yesterday whilst I was finishing of my Yaris T-Sport, my dad hovered and cleaned the inside carpets/mats.
This morning, I get to work on the WRX for its long over due clean. So I get out my 4 axle stands and trolley jack and jack the car up, remove the alloys an place to one side. I gave my dad all the wheel nuts and locking nuts to clean up with Autosoul. Keep him busy and out of my way.

As you can see rather dirty girl isn't she.

thats all thick mud and salt.
I decided to clean the wheels first (doing as ordered). For this I used a bucket with Megs gold class shampoo, Menzerna wheel and tyres 7.5 gel, wheel back brush, halfords body brush and I got stuck in. Its was horrible all gunky and slimy ...errrrhh! They came up like new, well almost. I put these to one side and I then tackled the car.
I get me presswasher (Kranzle 1150T) and attacked (quite literally) the muddy arches. There was mud everywhere. If I had not of know better, I would of thought that my dad actually competed in the rally there was that much mud. It lined the arch from top to bottom. In the strut cup, on the wishbone, everywhere.
As you can see dirty is not the word.

...Just a tad cleaner
I also used Total Auto Wash (TAW) P21S mixed with warm water in a Megs degreaser bottle with foaming spray head and agitated with brush to help loosen the stubborn mud/salt.
Next was to sweep all the mud away I had removed. Its must of been at least the weight of a bag of sugar. I then got onto the bodywork and washed the bodywork with the PW. This did a fantastic job even before I snowed the car using Megs Hyper wash and a squidge of Megs Gold Class shampoo. Made some loverly snow as you can see....
I have no idea who this idiot is 
Left that to dwell then Pressure washed it all off. I then got two buckets, both filled with warm water. One with Megs gold class and a Megs Lambs wool wash mitt and the other for rinsing. Washed the car. PW the soap off.
Door shuts. I used TAW and a pastry brush that I brought on the way back from WRGB in Crickhowell for 99p. Bargain. Actually it worked a treat.
Dried with Souns Der Wunder waffle weave towels.

By this time it was lunch time. And I breaked for lunch.
After lunch I applied two coats of Meg NXT2 leaving on for 10mins then buffing off with a coral plush M/F cloth. Whilst the last coat was curing, I applied Blackfire long lasting tyre gel on the tyres with a tyre applicator pad.
I then cleaned the exhaust tips with Autosoul and fine wire wool, before buffing off with a clean M/F cloth and applying a coat of Megs NXT metal polish with a Megs applicator pad.
I then decided to lower the car, so I put the alloys back on and the freshly cleaned nuts (thanks dad
)
Then I cleaned the windows using Auto Glum Glass Polish applied using a Megs applicator pad and buffing off with a clean MF cloth. Dressed the hard plastics with Megs M/F applicator and Poorboys natural look dressing.
Thats about it. I don't think I forgot anything.

From looking at these last shots you would not know it was the same car.
I wonder how long it will stay relatively clean for?
I am pooped doing two cars in two days is tiring.

It looks funny doesnt it when you have the car on axel stands and then put the wheels on, how high it sits until you drive it for a few miles
