Default Playsatan's 550bhp Type R detail

Been meaning to post this up since early September (as you can see by the weather).

Colin contacted me to detail his car after it had sat in his garage unwashed for quite a few months while the engine was built.

It's Mica Black Classic with swirls all through the paint and some scratches along the tops of the wings from working unprotected on the engine.

The way the car arrived -

First thing was to give it a full spray with hyperwash to break everything down -

Then the car was washed using the 2 bucket method with Meg's shampoo plus, a lambswool mitt and dried using pakshak waffle weave towels.

Once complete, the car was cleaned using autosmart tardis and then clay bar'd.

After all this it was time to tape her up -

Was so busy, forgot to take photo's of the swirls, however, you can just make some out in that last photo.

Next were the wheels which were cleaned with Meg's Wheel Brightener, sealed with Poorboys Wheel Sealant and the tyres were dressed with Blackfire long lasting tyre gel.

Before -

After -

The car was then machine polished with my trusty G220, and Menz RD 3.02. After this it was polished again with Menz 106 before being sealed with Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection and wax'd with Blackfire Midnight Sun.

The trim was cleaned with All Season Dressing and the Glass with Megs Nxt Generation glass cleaner.

The finished reasult, and believe me, it goes as well as it looks!!!

I think ive been in this car?!?! It was a bit low on power, and the gears whined alot- probably needs a recon box.

That's what you get for buying a secondhand gearbox off a pikey. As for low on power the fatso in the back wa weighing it down quite a bit (you, not your good lady before I get myself in trouble).

Under bonnet not a shiney as the outside so best not to show myself up.

Motor is still a honey.

Still on the garrett 30/40r and I can't see that changing any time soon as it's a really good match. There are some off season changes coming but nothing major, just some minor tweaks.
