Hi Guys,
I recently got the meg's g220 kit from polished bliss, i got 2 meg's pads, the W7006 6 and a half inch cutting pad and i got the same size of the W8006 polishing pad.I have used the cutting pad with my poorboys ssr3 and Menzerna 85RD. But what can i uses to finish the job of with,with the polishing pad. Am scared the polishing pad will take the protective layer of the cutting componds off, but i want a really strong finish the protect it.

the cutting compounds don't leave a layer on, they just cut back the paint, the polishing over the top refines the finish, so buff away

Cutting compounds leave NO Protection on the car they leave a clean base ready for protection to be added, sealant and/or wax.

You'll get the best finish by using the polishing pad and PO85RD3.02, you could then refine it with a finishing pad and PO106FA or PO85RD.
Buff off any residue and then add a sealant/wax.

I want to put evrything on by machine, thats the whole point to buying it. When i put on the sealant with the machine, do i just keep going until it all disapears or wipe of with a microfibe, Dont really want to wipe because thats what cause's swirl marks at the end of the day.What can i use

Apply the sealant with an applicator pad. Let it cure according to manufacture guides then buff off with a plush microfibre. This wont leave swirls providing done correctly.

Just reading this through Andy, and as mentioned above, main points to note are (1) the cutting pad is an okay choice with the SSR3 to cut back the paint and correct the defects (2) the polishing pad should have been used with the 85RD rather than the cutting pad, and (3) last step products are always best applied hy hand using an applicator pad, and then should be buffed off with good quality microfibre towels. Have you had a good read through the polishing sticky at the top of the car care section for tips on the machine part of the process?
