hi noticed alot of swirls on my partners gloss black audi, so thought i would have a go with the machine. im using 3m pads & Meguiars swirl / scratch polish but getting more swirls. Looks alot shinier but still alot of swirls what am i doing wrong

 

vag paint is very tough. what polisher do you have and level of pad? also how did you prep the car and pads for polishing? it may be that you have some debris in the pads or left on the car. it doesn't take a lot to inflict swirls but can be a right royal paint to get rid of.

 

You may be using a pad that is too soft to break down the abrasives in the polish. As said above, can you tell us exactly what 3M pad and Meguiars product you are using please...
