Question Foam lance for garden hose attachement....

Hi there, have any of u tried this product below:

Super Spray - Hose end sprayer - Washing & Drying - Clean Your Car - car care products UK

or would i be better spending more and getting this one:

Gilmour Foamaster II - Washing & Drying - Clean Your Car - car care products UK

Im thinking of buying one of these to use with the snow foam liquid but dont know which one to get??

I want loads and loads of thick foam and dont wana have to use my pressure washer attachement.

Any recommendations or previous experiences with these foam guns or the snow foam would be appreciated.

Thanks....

Kevin

The Gilmore is only good with high water pressure....

Otherwise stay with the foam lance for your pressure washer.

Using a foam gun to blanket the car in foam for 5-10 mins before power washing means a lot more muck will come off before you mitt wash the car... which greatly cuts down the risk of inflicting marring or worse. Thus, it makes sense to get the best possible foam gear you can afford, as you'll be helping to keep your paint in better condition for longer. Foam guns to consider are either a Gilmour Foamaster II, which will fit a standard garden hose and deliver good bubbly foam (providing your water pressure is reasonably good). Use it with Meguiars Hyper Wash for best results (Hyper Wash is gentle enough not to strip sensitive wax finishes, but still has great cleaning power). See here...

However, to get really thick clinging foam you need a dedicated lance that fits onto a pressure washer; these lances produce loads of ultra thick clinging foam, and can be used effectively with Hyper Wash and all other degreasers, all purpose cleaners and shampoos. Here is an example of the Auto-Brite lance for Karcher fitments in action...

Well cuz my washer is one of those petrol ones off ebay and does not have a quick release type attachement for the lance (it just has 4 small interchangable ends for different water jets) so i wouldnt think these units would fit my washer??

My lance/hose screws to the washer unit via a 'threaded' screw on attachment and the lance can also be screwed apart so perhaps someone would know if i could get a screw on type foam lance cuz i think this would be better judging by the pics 'POLISHED BLISS' added above there Are all these screw fittings for pressure washers/lances a standard fit item or could they vary?? cuz if i could get a foam gun that would screw onto my lance i would be well up for buying that

Cheers

I use the super spray system too and it does help a hell of a lot and wouldnt really be any different from the gilmour in my opinion. For a thick blanket tho you would need a foam lance, i cant find one for mine but the super spray is okay so far

I would strongly recommend speaking to the folks at Auto-Brite Direct. They specialise in providing lances for just about any kind of pressure washer, and I'm sure they could recommend an appropriate fitting system and lance. I've always found them to be very helpful.
