How do you buff scratches out?
Some idiot decided to side swipe my front wing whilst it was in a car park and obviously forgot to leave there details when they drove off
There's no dent, but about 10 scratches which aren't very deep. I haven't had chance to try anything yet, but what should I do?
It's metallic silver, if that's important.
PS - If the person who hit it is reading this - I will hunt you down for the rest of my living days

This guide to polishing paint is on the long side, but contains everything you need to know...
Polished Bliss - Car Care Advice - How to safely polish your paint by hand or machine
After reading it, if you want to have a look for suitale products, then assuming you are wrking on Subaru paint, I would suggest Menzerna Intensive Polish would be a good place to start, applied using the side of a German Pad if working by hand, or else Menzerna RD3.02 applied using a Lake Country CCS Polishing Pad if working by machine. As always though, piccies of the damage would help.
