Double detail day

Double detail day
I'd been nagging a family friend to let me detail his pretty much brand new jag xj8 for a while, more so that i could have a drive of it well he agreed on the condition that i done the family galaxy too.
No problem i thought both pretty much new so they won't be too hard. wrong! the galxy really is the family car. With 4 kids it takes a bit of a hammering. this has only covered aroun 3.5k miles so far!
anyway on with the pics. bear in mind that this had been to the dealers on friday for a service and they "kindly washed and hoovered it out"
the usual process was used, and the usual products:
my new foam lance was working well with a mix of megs hyper wash and super snow foam:
looks at the wonderful lack of beading from the main dealer applied long life protection!
anyway onto a couple of afters:
now onto the one that i really wanted to do.
the method used for this one was:
rinse,
bottom half of the car pre treated with poorboys bug squash,
foam with foam lance using a mix of 3 squirts of megs hyper wash and 3 of super snow foam, the rest of the 1 litre bottle was topped up with water. btw this car took 1.5 litres worth of this mix!
left to soak until foam has run off the car,
wheels cleaned with megs super degreaser and poorboys bug squash using a soft wheel brush,
rinsed with pressure washer,
slight foaming through karcher pressure washer,
washed with megs pure lambswool washmitt and 2 bucket method, rinsing after every stroke along the car,
rinsed again with pressure washer,
foamed and soaked again,
rinsed again with the pressure washer,
car was then pat dried using poorboys waffle weave towel,
i chose to finish the car with poorboys natty's paste - blue. which was spit shined for 3 layers.
there were some really bad marks on the bonnet which looked like bird etching gone super bad! a crazing effect on the paint where the edges were lifting up (sorry no pics) the ptg showed that within a 12" radius the paint appeared to be thicker than the rest of the bonnet. i called Rich at polished Bliss and he advised to leave well alone and advise the owner to take the car back to Jag. which they are going to do.
so some pics for you, sorry there aren't that many, but with the process above time was getting on. from start to finish on both cars was approx 11.5 hours.
some bug squash sorted this out!
exhaust tips were cleaned with megs super degreaser and then megs nxt polish when dried:
some of the marks on the bonnet:
foam lance in action again
interior was a little grubby:
not for long though:
a couple of the outside. by this time it was about 8pm and i was rather tired. well worth taking a day off work though imo.
cheers,
matt.

Mine is black.... I'll even let you do it for free .
Seriously though, how much do you charge for it? PM if you would rather keep the prices off the board.
Just brought some stuff from Polished Bliss who were very good and helpful but problem is finding the time . Maybe a few days off work is required!
