Default Removing swirls

Had my car machine detailed in February and it looked the nads, but recently, have noticed that all the panels are starting show signs of swirls on them.

Used the Megs 3 step stuff and it worked well by removing some but not all the swirls.

Is there is a better polish that will remove the swirls completely?

I use loads of PB stuff, and would like to add to the collection

BTW car is Mica Blue

if you want to stick with pb stuff get the super swirl removers and a couple of german aplicator pads from polished bliss. get the grade 2 or 2.5 ssr and the grade 1.

however i'd recommend the menzerna intensive polish and the german applicator pads from polished bliss. it's a bit stronger.

then finish it off with your usual pb products.

what was method are you using?

Am using the normal methods for cleaning

2 buckets using Poorboys Super Slick & Suds and the wash mits

Then either using the Megs detailer to finish or to give the car a Blackfire Wet Finish look.

Guessing you may to look at your wash technique if have got swirls back. The wash mitt is a good thing tho How do you dry the car? Obviously you now know how much a de-swirl costs so dont wanna pay for that again!

Dry the car using the Poorboys Waffle Weave

How do the swirls come back then

Is it the way the car is cleaned?

Drying ok too then mate.
Swirls normally caused by the way you clean the car, can be caused by grit on a sponge (but you use a mitt which is good), using a chamios, water blade etc. Check your mitt to make sure its spotless/grit free. Rinse often in your rinse bucket. It soulds like you are picking up grit somewhere as you wash though?

that's quite old for a washmit normally change them at least every 4 to 6 months depending on how often you wash your car.

also a good idea to rinse the car down before setting at it with the mitt. this will remove the loose dirt and debris on the car.

Also, in addition to the above, are you wipe drying or pat drying? Wipe drying does lead to marring and fine scratches over time (no matter how careful you are), and as these accumulate fine swirls start to appear. A much better way to dry is to pat dry by laying the towel over areas of the car, then patting dry. This may sound weird, but in practice it doesn't take much longer and is a safer method by miles.

Wash mits are out of stock

I have some Menzerna polish so will try that.

And will try the patting method for drying the car...or maybe invest in a leaf blower
