If you buy the porter cable for 130 quid from flea bay, do you need the power converter ?

Are these american electrical devices ?

Just read the whole thing and i see you do.

so whats to stop you putting a different plug / adapter on it and running it though a shaver socket in the garage? (a switchable 115/240 shaver socket available for 20 quid)
