Getting the best look with a Silver scooby
Mornin all
I've got a silver scooby (I think its Royal Silver, its NOT the pearlescent colour that was available, its the more traditional metallic silver).#
Basically I spend a lot of time and effort keeping it clean and polished, but the results are not quite as good as I expect.
I spent Sunday washing her. Then spent hours going over the whole car with Meguires Quick Clay, before fininsing with steps 2 and 3 of the Meguires 3 step detailing programme. And whilst she looks mighty shiney, I was wondering if any other products would really finish the job off. Meguires does not seem to have a really 'high end' finishing polish.
Any thoughts? Look forward to your advice!!
All the best
Dave.

Dave,
I have a met silver scooby and was in the same position as you last year. Rich at Polished Bliss recommended a couple of products which I purchased, and haven't turned back since! Have a look on Polished Bliss - Professional Vehicle Detailing - Services, Products and Advice at the Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Prime, and Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger. I found them to deliver fantastic results, and the Jett Trigger is super simple to apply and layer. Here's a couple of pics of mine after applying Prime, then Trigger...
These pics are prior to swirl/defect removal which I will be performing in full very soon, hoefully they speak for themselves though!!
The key to the finish is in the preperation, on top of claying I've found wiping the lower panels down with a tar remover removes a lot of bonded tar, cleaning the paint further, before application of the Jeffs Twins.
