I've tried a few things on glass and just looking for some other ideas.
Wife always insists on plain old hot water and a chammy - although after using AutoGlym's glass polish I thought that was the bees knees.
Anyway the bottle of AutoGlym was almost empty last week so popped off the Halfrauds and ended up with a bottle of rain-x that came with a bottle of glass cleaner.
What a load of rubbish the cleaner is - painful to remove without leaving streaks, ended up using the remainder of the glass polish to get it off.
Used the Rain-X afterwards and been pretty impressed so far - the wing mirros and front side windows seem much more resistant to filth than before but the windscreen is another matter - its horrendous.
Just wondering i there is a good glass cleaner that won't strip the Rain-X? Also my windscreen has quite a few little scratches from stones etc and was wondering if there's anything to fix them?
Incidentally - the first time I used the car after applying it - a bird **** on the screen and guess what? -it beaded off!! couldnt beleive it - I didnt expect that level of "slickness"

I always just wash my windows with my normal shampoo and dry off with a waffle weave. Twice a year, I machine polish them with Klasse All In One to deep clean them - brings them up a treat. On customer cars, I clean all the glass (inside and out) with Megs NXT Generation Glass Cleaner. With the Rain-X on, why not just use normal shampoo when washing?
