Folks, we are sad to announce that there will be a major increase in the price of our Menzerna USA product range in a few weeks time. This is because of a major change in the contractual relationship between Classic Motoring Accessories (our supplier, www.properautocare.com) and Menzerna USA. The situation is now as follows. Classic Motoring Accessories purchase Menzerna ingredients under licence from Menzerna-Werk, via Menzerna USA. Classic Motoring Accessories then produce the products and distribute them, both directly to the consumer market and via a global network of official distributors, of which we are one. The increase in the price of the products is the result of an increase in the cost of ingredients and licensing. In order to recover some of these extra costs, Classic Motoring Accessories are no longer wholesaling in the US – all future consumer sales will be made directly. However, the international distribution network remains unchanged, although prices will now go up, and will have to be passed on to consumers. We feel pretty bad about having to increase our prices so soon after introducing the brand to the UK, and will thus be trying to put off the increase for as long as possible. Essentially, all stock we currently hold will be sold at current prices, with the increase only coming into effect when we next order. At the current rate of sales this may not be long, but it’s the best we can do.

However, one bright light on the horizon is a completely new product range that we will be bringing to the UK for the first time next month, which will offer similar performance to the Menzerna range at a price level similar to that currently in place for the Menzerna range. The name of this range is BLACKFIRE, which is also distributed by Classic Motoring Accessories, albeit without any third party involvement. We’ve had samples for a week now, and will be testing them at the Scottish Detailing Day – full results to be posted soon. For a sneak peak at the range, see the link below…

Once again, we’re really sorry to have to increase our prices. However, despite the increase, we still believe that the performance of the Menzerna range will justify the cost, but for those on a budget, we believe that the BLACKFIRE range will provide an excellent alternative.
