Default Clay mitt v clay bar

I've used the clay bar many times before.. But now I keep seeing clay mitts..

Are they doing the same job?
If so Which is better? Mitt or bar.
If they don't do the same job, what do they do differently?

Must admit the clay mitt easier if they doing the same job.

Which make of mitt is better??

Thanks

Clay bar for more contaminated paintwork and the mitt for regular wipe overs over lightly contaminated paintwork

Cloth is easier and quicker for larger areas. If you drop it, you simply rinse and continue using. They only need shampoo and water for lube, so you can use your wash bucket - hot water is better; if the cloth is too cold it becomes rigid and can marr the paint, the same way bars do.

Bar is better for small, tight, fiddly areas.

As for which mitt is better; define "better". They are like bars - i.e. similar grades of cut are much of a muchness really.
Halfrauds sell the G3 mitt making it readily available and comparatively cheap. Personally I prefer the cloths as they effectively have 4x the working area of the mitts - I use the CarPro cloth myself.

I was looking at one of the threads on here where someone had used a mitt.. And it just seemed to me that using the mitt over the bar was far easier.. I find the bar quite slow to use if I'm honest..

By better I mean by make.. I did look at the halfords g3 and was expecting the price to be a lot higher..

The clay bar I used was meguiars.

Thanks for your help.. I think it's deffo some thing for me.

How long does a bar last? Just doing the Scooby now and began to wonder. There isn't much contaminate in there, is it when you can easily see contaminates that it needs throwing?
