It hasn't been working for a while. When I asked I was told that when new servers arrived all wouid be well.
Well they have and it isn't. Maybe in a few days?
SN is the only site where I have had problems using search and I don't pay for the others

If it helps (and if anyone bothers): search doesnt work for subjects, but it does for post authors. So, I can find my own posts, but I cant search for keywords.

What is annoying is this has sat here for two days with no comment from the admins. I can understand after a server move that things might not work, but to not comment on a feature that is only available to paying members seems a bit off IMHO.

true. Apart from fightclub, the instant ban feature for spammers and some scoobynet shop, the main feature of plus membership is the SEARCH function. By far the best feature if used properly and now it is fooked.
Please get it sorted so us full paying members feel as though we are getting some features for our money

What's so fecking annoying is that no one posted that Search wasn't working. How long does it to post up 2 lines on the Sticky?
If I'd known then I would have bookmarked a few threads which I wanted to keep. dl

There arent any Admins though! Simon wil be away/busy: Shauns gone (no loss whatsoever) and IB seem to have forgotten that theyve bought SN (or perhaps theyre just busy collecting the revenue?).

Shaun has posted on SN recently but I dont know how much influence he has on the admin side any longer and so may not be in the position to comment or help.
Simon has posted on the forums in the last few days and still has the ability to either advise or comment which is what we need.
I think, in light of how important the search feature is to the members, that a short message explaining what the problems are and what is being done, would not go astray and certainly would help.

Just to make things clear I don't have any issue with Simon/Shaun - this place was I believe sold to IB and the fact Simon is still around at all amazes me as if it were me I would be long gone with the amount of hassle he used to get.
My complaint is not so much that it isn't working (this is a huge site and with a recent server move and pending DB upgrade things do go wrong), but more as to why no one from IB sees fit to reply in this thread. They are obviously about as they have been posting messages about the server move etc. so why not just pop in here and jot us a few lines.

Time for a wee moan,
What about the competitions / prize draw ?
Another thing thats starting to get a little bit silly, how many times have I got to see "how do I clean my boost solenoid" or " check my maf". Things like this should of been a sticky a very long time ago.
How about seeing an admin thats actual active in this website, threads can go on for days or weeks without any reply. The members dont ask for lot, but a bit of respect goes a long way.
This website was very good at the beginning, but since being bought over. Im questioning what did my money pay for, far too many bugs or problems being ignored for far to long now. How long can a website continue like this ?
It will be a matter of time, that a loyal member base will look else where or another website will appear that will listen to its members.
Is it, I got your money and stuff supplying a service ??
