Managed (for the first time ) to forget to put the [ / u r l ] after a, well, url, & got 'please close url' which was very nice, but then got the flood control thingy up to stop 'abuse'. All very nice, but not very convenient. Not much of a bug either, but could, say, 2 posts be allowed through & no more in the time, or maybe the flag for the 45 second flood-prevention not be made until the post is actually posted (so at posting rather than at the clicking 'send' point)?
Just a thought

I have just experienced the same problem - one option is that the flood control "last post from this user" is only set after the validation has been successfully performed. However, not sure whether this leaves the board open to abuse by people who just misform the [ url ] tag - i.e. they can bombard the site with badly formed posts and still cause problems and a performance headache.
