"x" in grey nav bar

"x" in grey nav bar
I know, I know, too much time on my hands 
Anyway, the dark grey nav bar, where the ticker used to be now contains an "x". Looking at the html I'm guessing someone hit x instead of control/command + X (keyboard shortcut to the "Cut" command) to remove the code that was there to display the ticker.
Just thought I'd mention it
