Signatures (newbie question)
Hello all
I'm a member of a couple of other forums so am familiar with how they work etc. I've looked in the FAQ and done a search but to no avail.
How do I go about giving myself a signature for my posts? I'm starting to think there isn't an option on here as nobody seems to have one? No avatar option either?
Cheers all, hope I'm not being too dumb

Sorry for posting in the wrong section!
Most boards use sigs which are hosted on another server anyway, mine is on my Blueyonder webspace so doesn't such any bandwidth from any forums I'm on.
thanks for the replies tho peeps

Signatures get on my nerves to be honest - the screen just gets full of junk and you can't tell the signatures from the replies - leave them off I say, but I don't have anything against avatars.

As long as you don't go overboard with them, they are ok. Also useful when posting problems etc as you don't have to continually say what car you have. Also the pics make it pretty :-P (But can be a pain for 56k'ers)

Allowing signatures usually means that the threads become all sigs and no content - I find it annoying having to sift through whats on screen to find the next relevant post.
Avatars are fine if limited to a set size like Jaybird UK says but sigs should be reserved for Saxo / Corsa forums...

But I'd settle for avatars (against switchable) say a sensible limit of 80x80 and 30k?
