Default rear wheel bearing?

I'm getting a sort of click clicking noise from the drivers side rear wheel when driving. Its been like ths for a while, nothing stuck in the tyre, or alloy causing it.

I hear it worse when driving down a dual carriage way as the sound rebounds of the centre reservation for example.

I am thinking it is likely to be a wheel bearing but my diagnosis of a wheel bearing is a whining noise. If I get speed and put the gear into nuetral, with the foot of gas I dont here the whining noise which is a good indicator to tell me if its wheel bearing thats gone. When on a ramp and the wheel is spun and moved back and fourth to see if there is any play - none at all.

Even though with these tests I am still suspicious that it is the wheel bearing making that noise and in these cars symptoms could be different to other cars so am looking to getting the bearing replaced. Eurocarparts does them but which one for the rear. I 'll speak to them to find out but thought I'd get a second opinion because euros are known to supply wrong parts.

Doesnt sound familar as a wheel bearing issue to me ,best way is to go hard into a corner and you should hear the sound get louder, you will also get a vibration

Is yours an sti with 6 speed?
