Default Brakes feel vacant

Hello guys, I've just bought an 06 plate 2.5 Hawk eye wrx with 50000 miles. It's a one owner with full service history from Subaru Gatwick and in excellent condition. I've never owned a Subaru before and I've found the brakes to have very little feel and I have to push the pedal harder than I would have expected too considering its a sports car. The discs are standard fit and look in good nick and the there is meat on the pads ? Is this normal ? or I suspect the pads could be glazed ?

Hi steve I've got a 2005 wrx blob and mine feel the same , plenty of pad and discs are only six month old , just had fluid changed as well but no change .my friends got a skyline gts and they run on same discs , what he's done is fit a brake stopper and uprated the brake hoses and its made the world of difference , going give it a try when I get a spare few pounds .
