Default No exhaust noise !

Hello guys, I've just bought a 06 Hawkeye 2.5 wrx with 50000 miles. It's a one owner from new ( middle aged man ) with full Subaru service history from new. I didnt notice at the time of buying it ( dohh ) that it is practically silent even under load ? Really weird ? The car is totally un- modified and it appears to be the original exhaust. I was wondering if this is a standard Subaru exhaust. Someone mentioned it could be the spec D exhaust. Definitely looking into a cat back system for the distinctive Subaru noise

I too was most disappointed when I bought my hawkeye, they are almost silent.
A good back box and decat centre pipe brings it back to being a subaru....

Oh least it's normal ! How many cats can you take out if any to pass the emissions ? Will leaving the cats on and getting a cat back system still be really quiet ?
