Hi all,

I currently have an 02 wrx sti prodrive that has/had a blitz nur spec exhaust.

I have removed the nur spec as it was far to loud, and put the standard prodrive back box on, however it's too quiet.

It has the oem down pipe, then another silencer, a straight through centre then the prodrive back box.

Can the first silencer after the downpipe be removed and will this increase the volume on the exhaust? I'm wanting to keep the prodrive system on as the car is otherwise standard and would be nice to keep it that way... Ish lol

If its what I think you're on about then that's a cat not sure if you'll need a remap if you remove that one though!

 

I'm unsure, iv heard it referred to as a cat, however just looks like a silencer?

As for remap, I'm unsure as it will still have the cat in the downpipe, I'd have to speak to some mappers and see what they say... I'm not sure lol

I brought my02 Sti in feb and it had a nur spec r cat back on it which I removed also as was too loud!!! Replaced it with afterburner vortex cat back and love it its just rite!! Will be going decat down pipe in a couple of months tho so will prob be back to loud as **** lol
