Default JDM Hawkeye diff servicing

Hey all does anyone know on here the exact correct Motul or similar oil to use for the diff in a JDM Hawkeye STI, I believe they had a different type of lsd to the blob eye so I want to make sure the diff oil is correct.

I'm using Motul 90PA (GL-5) which is what the service manual states should be used for the 6 speed Hawkeye STI

I see where the gearbox oil comes in and how that works but I can't see where it says to use the same oil for the diff? Motul seems to make some separate diff oil that is different to the gearbox oil?

you want a 75-90LS or an 80-90LS oil......................

personally would not recomend using 90PA in the g/box of a road car either

Why wouldnt you reccomend 90PA? The manual I have states to use that in the gearbox as well as front and rear differentials. This page shows clearly that it is the reccomended grade for the STI.

He was on about the rear diff, dont think putting 90pa in a gearbox would be too good lol

Basically a lot of people I have asked use the motul 300v gearbox oil in the diff as well but then some say only the subaru official LSD stuff should be used.

This stuff essentially claims its fine for gearbox and diffs with LSD's

The place where the car is potentially taken to reccommends this stuff which from the description sounds like it would be okay? my only concern is its not synthetic, but maybe that doesn't matter?

a multi grade gear oil will be far better suited to a road car gearbox than the monograde 90PA, and even for the rear diff we would normally suggest an 80w90LS or 75w90LS oil

just because an oil happens to meet "one" of the recomended specs doesn't mean its the most suited, a lot depends on your climate/use/environment its used in

So would you recommend this for both the Gearbox and the Diff? if so why would you use it over the 90PA?
