Default Recommend a turbo for a 2.5 Classic

Hello all.

I've been tasked by my father to source him a turbo for his V4 classic which has a 2.5 build, RCM headers, RCM Fuel pump, Turbo Smart FPR, FMIC, Lateral 900cc injectors, SIMTEK (Mafless with RCM filter and trumpet).

His car pulls like mad and the torque is unbelievable.

Unfortunately on the last mapping session on the rollers the injectors and pump maxed out at about 320bhp. He was told his standard turbo didn't have much left in it either.

The car is for road use only and i think he'd be over the moon with 380/380.

I've personally recommended the SC36/38 but he's now a little fed up of spending money and wants to budget for £400.

I've then gone down the lines of VF34 VF35.

I've tried to contact Andy forrest but there's no number on his website.

Any recommendations welcome. Thanks in advance.

Rcm pump and 900cc injectors maxed at 320bhp...... ????

£400 budget won't get much of a turbo. Maybe add a bit to it and find a good second hand AF 20G. Usually about 500 sheets.

No!

Sorry Matt, i should have been clearer.

When it was mapped it was on its original pump, injectors and didn't have the FPR.

Oh I see, makes sense.
Sqeeze another £100 into his budget and get a 20G, great turbo imo and perfect on a 2.5 with the ability to get near 400 on pump fuel

Which 20G?

Any ideas who might be selling up?

I'm hoping Alcazar might pop up in a bit, i can't remember what turbo he has but i know he's running a 2.5.
