Default Timing belt. Change it, or not?

Hi guys.
I have a Impreza GC8 -00 who had a timing belt change 7 years ago. The thing is that it has only been used 18 641 miles since then, and has been in my garage for the last 3 years due to unemployment and studies.

I don't really have the time to change it this summer since i got i newborn kid at home and have the spend my vacation painting my house.
Is it a bad idea to drive it this summer and change it later on, maybe at the winter when i'm not driving it?

5 years is the due date on the belt, 7 years is bit too long as the belt degrades through time, id get it done mate for piece of mind

For the cost of a belt, get it done.

Well it's not just the belt then?
Might as well order a kit from RCM and even change the waterpump as well.

Strange thing when you earn money to buy something from countries overseas. Darn these politicians.

no need at all for the w/pump IMO having spent just a small amount of time messing with these new fangled cars

as for the belt then yes definately requires a change and we stock very cost effective belts, belt & tensioner kits and even Kevlar race belts if required

Have tried to use the online shop a few times, I find it really difficult to navigate. So many dead links

we are a very traditional "old skool" mail order company and busy workshop...............

the e-shop is a little outdated and unfortunately does require a revamp BUT being extremely busy on all sides its difficult to get the time to sort however i am not aware of any dead links unless you found via Google?? we also do a lot of technical compoents that you often cant simply "shift boxes" due to the information/advice required

drop an email direct or call the office and things are easily sorted

As AS says no need to do the waterpump while you are there. The belt on its own is like £70 so it is worth it. Check the tensioner though as per the service manual just to make sure its still good.

A kit is on the way.
It ended with
1 x Timing Belt
1 x Toothed Idler OE
2 x Plain Idlers OE
1 x Auto Tensioner OE
1 x Small Idler upgrade OE
1 x Bolt Small Idler Upgrade OE

And also
Roger Clark Motorsport Billet Timing Belt Guide.

The waterpump was changed at the same time as the last belt change, so that one is staying
