What axle stubs to make my 6 speed work in my 99 classic?

Default What axle stubs to make my 6 speed work in my 99 classic?

Picked up a uk 04 sti 6 speed box and I'm planning on putting it in my 99 uk classic turbo I know the back end will be fine as there the same ratios but I need axle stubs from an auto box for it to mate to my front driveshafts does anyone know where to get these stubs or from what model age of subaru or part number of the stubs I need any help would be appreciated cheers

What Gearbox do they come from ? How much where they new ? Cheers

Sorry forgot to add you may need new driveshaft seals aswell as the internal diameter of the seals may be different to the diameter of the stubs

Good man cheers is there anything else I need? I've got the rear diff ,cradle shafts and hubs am I better to change them or keep my classic ones ? Also I've got the six speed flywheel and starter should I swap these aswell but still use my five speed clutch cheers

You will need a six speed clutch but you can use your existing 5 speed clutch flywheel and starter

Yeh dont make the same mistake i did and put the wrong seals in £60 quid worth of motul 300 on the driveway lol its the flat ones with no lip they are sided left and right

I' meant link lol autocorrect does it again so they should be cool for my front uk shafts will order them on Monday good man much appreciated think ill be getting someone to fit it it took two days for me to fit the last box after I knocked the clutch out of alignment putting it in the first time and doing it on the deck myself wasn't much fun either lol

your slightly mixed up i think...............

you can use either the 5spd clutch set or a 6spd clutch set with this conversion BUT easch clutch must be used with its matching correct flywheel type

Sorry I didn't word it right, if he uses the six speed flywheel he will need a six speed clutch or he can use his existing five speed clutch flywheel and starter

You can mix and match, I used 6speed flywheel with,5speed clutch and only needed a shorter slave cylinder rod
