Default Registration number query

A friend of mine has an old Mondeo, registered V932 EVO. It's still in use but he's thinking of scrapping it before its next MoT as it's on its last legs.

Someone else suggested the registration might be worth something. I told him I thought perhaps it would to an Evo owner, but am I raising false hopes?

I'd appreciate any opinions, and suggestions as to how he might go about selling it if it is of value.

And no, this isn't meant to be a cheeky free advert, it's a genuine question.

Thanks folks.

You can take plate off but it car needs to be on the road when it's done. Price is difficult as its only worth what people are willing to pay, would have thought £300ish? Company's will value it at £££ or ££££s but they could sit in the sale list for years

That's interesting, thank you. At least it seems it might have a moderate value, which I'm sure he'll be pleased about.
