Default Clicking noise Hawkeye STi...Help please

Hello, over the last 8 weeks I've noticed a Click coming from the dashboard (seems like the drivers side) It happens when the ignition is on and engine off, and also whilst driving. It clicks just once every two minutes but doesn't seem to affect anything, I've checked most things and can't see that anything doesn't operate (will check again to make sure).... Does anybody know what it could be??? ( I should add that my cooling fan doesn't work and it'll be getting replaced next week if that helps, Wouldn't of thought it could be anything to do with that as it also happens when engines off and the ignitions on). I'd be grateful for your help. Cheers Mark.

I'm pretty sure there is a resister behind the dash and somewhere in the middle. I have read a post previously about it, but can't remember the topic I'm afraid. Mine is doing the same, but only if I haven't used the car for several days - it stops once I start using the car after a day or so.
