The service handbook for my Dutch import car has spaces for inspection stamps for a corrosion check at 12 months and 24 months... Is this the same as a UK-sourced car?

Yes, mine is a UK car and has this. Apparently you have to get the body inspected annually to get the 6 year paint warranty.

Main dealers are quoting anything from £85 to £150 for this... Do people actually bother?

I got the first one done, but not sure it's worth it now.

I got the first one done too...........

If you can afford £20K, the £100 every couple of years is a sound investment.

There are threads on here of people with corrosion after 12 months!!
