Apexi PFC new injector values

Apexi PFC new injector values
A vr5 JDM STi njector is rated at 550cc right? So if swaping for a 720cc , what would be the new values?
Should be less than 100% and buggers me about the latency values too. . .
Currently I just put it at 65% and +0.03ms BUT its still spewing black smoke at the exhaust AND u could smell fuel frm the engine bay . . .
AND this is still under temporary IGN/IJN correction of +8/-0.695
Help pls . . .
PS. Do I need to state my other mods?

DONT BELIEVE WHAT I SAY AS I AM GUESSING! Please seek better advice than mine!
I would assume and its only an assumption here that its
550 divided by 720 = 0.7638
0.7638 x 100 = 76.4%
For latency I assume you need to know the specs of both the new & old injectors in Miliseconds. My guess would be a number close to zero once you have done...
New - old (time in miliseconds) = correction factor

Are you sure they are 550 std? Not 440? If the jump is 440 to 720, then 61.1% would be correct. Also if the plugs are fouled due to running so rich then that might be contributing missfires and making it smell richer too.
Might also be worth checking all the injectors are sealing correctly and not leaking if you have recently changed them.

Are you sure they are 550 std? Not 440? If the jump is 440 to 720, then 61.1% would be correct. Also if the plugs are fouled due to running so rich then that might be contributing missfires and making it smell richer too.

sealing-wise, the injectors are ok as there are no leaks to be seen anywhere near the o-rings/junctions.
plugs been recently changed, after a hydrolock when just after I reset the APFC, i forgot to adjust the injector figures (running 100% all the way, resulting in fuel awash) ...such a pain in the @rs# changing those plugs I say ...

Need to know what injectors you actually changed from. Where they yellow? Or grey?
Have you fitted a adjustable fuel pressure regulator? Is the fuel pressure the same as standard?
I'm not sure but the Apexi for a GC8 may think the OE injectors are all 380cc which means you may need to adjust the injector values to 52.8 if on standard pressure. I would say the inj lag values should be within the following areas:
16v: 0.500-0.540
14v: 0.800-0.760
12v: 1.060-1.020
10v: 1.300-1.260
8v: 1.520-1.480
6v: 1.888-1.848
However, I am not a professional tuner and listening to my advice is taken at your own risk as it is just opinion formed from research. You should really only be tuning if you know what your doing and understand the software your using. You should use correct equipment including a wideband AFR mete etc.

Standards are yellow 440cc at 100% but it needs setting up with a wideband and mapping

Thanks for saying that Simon I was just about to delete my post because I thought I might have got the guy to go lean with that injector setting.
So technically if he has gone from 440cc to 720cc 61% should be right.
Should go to a mapper but doesn't sound like that's gonna happen anytime soon.

Why are you adding ignition and altering the fuelling on the temp settings?
+8 will kill it.
If it is still too rich at 65% and you are sure the injectors at 720cc then sounds like an injector oring has been split on fitment of the injectors

granted its not meant for a permanent fix as i still had to find a correct value for the injectors adjustment and latency (methink i got it tho..thanx peps ) ..so now lets just see how it goes for a while before i start tweaking on the temporary settings as the current map is still on basic map after the factory reset.
steps;
1. reconfigure injectors data
2. oversee car's general feel
3. tweak individual IGN/INJ map cells for normal drive
4. review with afr meter/sensor
the main priority is to get the car running up to its potential now, without concentrating on releasing the 'beast' within ie. drivability against performance. Once i got that, then i can concentrate on fine-tuning the map .
o-rings split?! how could that happened? i wrench it too tight?
