Default engine management light - fmic

just fitted my fmic & my engine management light has came on, any idea why this would happen?

plug in a code reader and read the code. did you unplug the maf as this could be the fault.

Yes, that's the only possible thing that may be disconnected when installing the FMIC but then only if the ignition was switched on with it disconnected.

Did you use the Japspeed supplied MAF tube and cone filter? If so, you would be wise to have a mapper re-scale the MAF as the tube internal dia. is larger than standard. (Forgot to mention that when we spoke regarding the fuel tube.) It should be mapped anyway to get advantage of the FMIC and to correct some turbo lag which you may now get.

i put my maf tube the wrong way round when i fitted mine and it wouldnt start, took me an hour to figure out what was up.

ok, i did turn on ignition whilst maf was off.

is the care ok till drive till i have it remapped in a week or 2?

should be ok if you drive it off boost
