Possible engine damage
Hi,
i've had a new clutch and flywheel fitted and have spent the last few weeks running it in.
i decided to do a couple of launches last night... wish i hadn't now,
i think i've caused some engine damage,
the car was running fine afterwards, i let it cool down but and hour or so later when i started it there was a cough of oil smelling smoke.
it cleared and drives fine, no smoke on or off boost, just when i stop it and leave it for a while.
i drove it into work this morning and held it on boost for a while just to try and clear the inlet system out incase it had pushed abit more oil than normal into the inlet under 1/4 mile conditions.
but its still smoking on start up.
what would you do next?

Possible turbo allowing oil into the intercooler & then when you start up it pulls the oil through & blue smokes. Rings can also cause this though, but I'd look at the turbo first
