Default RUST!

I've just changed the oil on my 2000 Legacy GTB. On removing the under tray I found the crossmember that seems to support the rad to be severely rusted. I obviously need to get this replaced - Does anyone know the part name and/or anyone in the Suffolk area who could do the job?

It's a radiator support bracket, not actually part of the rad, but DOES come with a new rad.

I'd suggest you contact a few breakers for busted rads and ask for the lower barcket. It comes off with two bolts.

You can replace it yourself in an hour, I would suggest a nice coat of Hammerite on it.

Thanks - I think it may be a bit more serious than that as the garage that changed the oil after doing the MOT said the welding needed was beyond them although it was not an MOT fail. I had a look myself and it doesn't look great although there's no sign of any rust elsewhere on the car - I'll get under it and have a good poke around at the weekend. Thanks again for your help and I hope you're right.
