I noticed when I was driving my new car home that I had a really hard time getting it into gear. The clutch seemed to be on/off not gradual like my MX5. Is this the "Exedy API racing clutch" the advert said it has?

I've also noticed if I put the clutch all the way to the floor it wont get into gear, it has to be hovered about an inch off the floor.
