code 33 impreza 1997

as per title got code 33 coming up and my car is juddering on slow take off and at cruising speed 70mph?
any ideas

33 is vehicle speed sensor mate

will this cause the problem im describing mate if the speed sensor is down?my speedo still works fine ?
