Default Cylinder heads oil restrictor - how to remove them?

I've got all the threaded plugs out of both heads, do I need to remove the oil restrictors, and if so, how?

Google has not helped me

Yes, always remove them to clean the oil gallery's and then refit.
And how to remove them ..........

Drift out from the opposite end with round bar or similar
(head shown is Version 6 STi, so your restrictor may differ)
