HELP Heads Problem !!
Hiya there..
I took my heads of another block and heads were perfectly fine
before coming of... cams all spun with good clearence ect ect..
but now ive put cams back on and the buckets are sitting to high..
the cams push buckets back and the valves get pushed back aswell and the buckets are tightly against the cams no clearence ect.
i dont know whats going on but im p1ssd keep taking buckets/cams out and in...im and having same problem on all buckets..
the cams will not spin unless socket/bar and forceand then the lobe push the valves back even more than in picture..
some one help please

Sorry mate im not being rude or unhelpful but i think you should take your car to someone who knows how to deal with Subaru engines, you will have a better car to drive without the fear of something going wrong every time you put your foot down, the way you are going will end up costing you a lot more.

yer cheers mate but i anit paying to get my heads rebuilt ect cost to much and i can buy a how engine of ebay for that price, and also i dont have the money and im a mechanic anyway thats why im doing it all my self but i havent done head rebuilds ect but ive got a mate from round corner from me coming today to have a look as he knows what his doing..

Don't take my comments in the wrong way, i am not trying to be a d!ck just thought would have been a better options but i understand, money is the issue to most of us, good luck hope you get it sorted mate.

+1 for that. I did my own heads on sti type r and after building i could never trust it again (Even tho i know i did it right) If you get someone else to do it you can relax and have some sort of warranty. The thought of removing engine etc 10 miles later put me off lol. Use lots of sealent on them rocker gaskets
