Question

Any help greatly appreciated.
I am ment to be fitting a P1 lip spoiler on my car today, but just had a look at it and there don't seem to be any mounting holes to attach it with.
The original STi VI one looks like it is just secured from below, should I just reuse the same mounting points or should I make some extra holes?
Also the towing eye cover needs to be secured somehow, would a couple of looped cable ties be ok or do they use Subaru clips?

Maybe Mailing me with how it mounts would be the wise way forward.

Thanks Ian

They are a **** to fit properly take it to Scoobysport or a dealer.

Had a V6 spolier put on my car and they are a bugger apparently. Having fixed properly will entail drilling etc. I have also been told that when you do so start from the centre and work out.

Talking

Chatting to Jim @ Cheam a while back RE: STi 6 Lip spoiler, he said that there are approx (off the top of my head remember) 10 square holes running along the length of the underneath side of the bumper. It is these that are the mounting points for the STi spoiler. I interpreted that to mean that there are 10 clips of some sort that mount the spoiler at these points....

Hope this helps,

Matt

The lip has a couple of fixings, but is mainly bonded on to the front. I would get a dealer or someone to fix it in place. I had a problem with the front of my P1, and a replacemnet lip spoiler was sent. But when the dealer consulted Prodrive they said it was bonded on at the factory. So had new front instead of just lip spoiler.
Good luck....

Thanks for all the help,
needless to say I have left the fitting of the P1 lip for now. As I think I should allow more than a couple of hours for removal of old spoiler and fitting of new one, as it could be an expensive and messy mistake to rush it.

Thinking of what to use to bond it to the bumper would that unibond sealent be ok or should I go for something with less adhesive powers?
Thanks Ian
