Default Impreza turbo won't rev past 3k?HELP

Hi all have a P reg Impreza turbo for some reason it will not rev past 3000rpm
Has anyone else experienced this before? would be grateful for some replies cheers.

What will be causing it to go into limp mode? Are there anythings I can check

Has it thrown up a Check Engine light? Underneath your steering wheel, there will be 2 black male/female connectors. Connect them together to see if any error codes have been stored and let us know the pulses (How many long pulses, how many short pulses)

Well I've done check an got code 22 knock sensor can this just fail or is there another problem. Also how much are they an who do I get 1 off as my local places are no help at all

yeah they fail alot. you would have to replace it to find out if there are any other problems but it could be just that

Well been out and removed knock sensor gave it a clean and refitted, resulting in cel light gone out and car will rev up fine. Thanks for advise peeps

have you torqued it up right, if you over tighten them you can have further issues
