Default Hayward Subaru New Age Cat Pipe in 2.5"

Im confused....

http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...-cat-pipe.html

Quick Overview

The 2.5" cat pipe replaces the 2nd/3rd cat on a New Age Impreza, which can be removed without messing up the ECU and is still MOT friendly. 2001 - 2005

So you can remove the second cat without needing a remap?????

hi yes ive done this mod the second lamda is at the end of the downpipe before the second cat so 2nd and 3rd cats can be removed without a problem and without management light on

Oh really! So it would be better to just remap when removed anyway just to be on the safeside.

Another question, see if I got a decat downpipe and then the 2nd cat bypass pipe, come MOT day would I pass the MOT with just putting the 2nd cat back on rather then trying to access the bellmouth and putting the standard downpipe back on..the latter could be a nightmare.

If that is the case then ill not bother with a sports cat and get the H&S items:

Excellent, thanks for the info so far!

What power difference did you get from going from standard to sports cat? Is it a 100 or 200 cell?

Sorry for all the questions!
