Default STi v Standard TMIC

I'm going to be fitting a VF23 and 440cc injectors to my MY97/98 Terzo - already has Apexi FC, Sports cat, and Walbro pump.

Would there be any advantage swapping the standard TMIC for an STi one of the same year - ver 3/4?

I'm not interested in fitting a FMIC or a later STi TMIC and realise I may be restricting potential gains in doing so.

Bumping this, not of any help I'm afraid but I'm wanting to upgrade the tmic on my 97 turbo 2000. Dame as you I can't be bothered with a fmic conversion and the newage STI top mount involves too much cutting and welding for my liking! If an STI/ type r intercooler is of higher spec and a straight swap I'd rather go down that route!

Yeah, difficult to find any info on the difference (if any)! Just to add I also have green panel filter. Failing anyone knowing if there's a difference between the two TMICs, does anyone have a guesstimate of HP/Torque gains I might achieve?
