Default Clutch Problem? What is the problem?Impreza STI MY05.

Hi Guys.
I have exchanged a clutch(went for an exedy clutch) few weeks ago.Unfortunately have a problem now.

If the engine is switched off,i can without any problems shift the gears.
The problem comes when i switch on the engine.
I can't put any gears at the first and second attempt if engine is cold.Need to attempt for few times to get any gear in.As soon the gear is in i can change the gears seamlessly.
But if i take off my foot from the clutch pedal, the problem comes again.
There is no problem while i'm driving.
The longer i drive the, the clutch/gearbox is working better and better and it's easier to get the gear in,for example, after a stopping at traffic lights.

I would be really appreciate if someone could help me Thank You.
Greets.

Hi.
Is it at all really possible ,to fit the bearing wrong..?
I'm asking you because have spoken to few people about this problem and no one did not suggest it.
Have you heard about a similar issue?
Thx.

I bought my 2001 WRX about a month ago, and mine is the same. I didnt know if they were all like this or if it was just mine. My clutch is not new though.

I didnt give it much thought as it doesnt bother me, like yours, once the engine is warm/after 5 minutes its fine.

But, if something is not right! I want it fixed! :-D

I thought it was a characteristic of the gearbox

But my clutch needs to be replaced, maybe it happens when the clutch is on its way out.

Have similar thing in my my02 sti 6 speed, when cold its a pig of a box,i think, gets better when warm but then i cant do a really quick gear change say into 2nd at island takes extra second or so,you guys know what i mean ? Or is it just mine ? Also can feel it going in gear at slow speeds, not a crunch but a feel on gear stick, when at high revs its slips in effortless but dont allways drive it like that so ruins my drive a bit.i know it maybe synchros but could it be clutch related ? Need to let dave at api to look at it,so exspensive tho with these boxes and clutches.

Also to add sometimes and in summer mainly it flies into gear no probs which does my head in even more when it doesnt,i try to blipp throttle when going down gears but cant allways do it with kids and misses in car.anyone had these issues sorted with new clutch and/or synchros changed,if so was it costly.
