Hi fellas im in the market for a boost controller been looking at the hybrid electronic boost controller, just wondering if anyone is running one and how well does it work ? or should i just get apexi avcr ?

Wouldn't bother. Had a HKS evc and disconnected it. If you want more boost the safest way is to have a full re-map. Its cheaper than a rebuild.

 

i'm a newbie to the scooby world mate and been looking into myself, i wouldnt get a boost controller and save the money for a remap. seems the safer dude

 

ecu controls the boost so why do you need a boost controller?

Depending on what car you have electronic boost controllers are very useful when remapping.

 

I have 02 bug sti was looking to change standard 2 port boost solenoid to a 3 port so thought id go for hybrid ebc as it comes with 3port, controller and gauge. Car is alreadry mapped by BR
