Default cambelt service extras?

06 wrx is in for 50K service and cambelt change, car on 30K. Main stealers but to my knowledge there isn't a decent indie until Newbury which isn't that far but a whole lot less convenient.
Just had a call to say cambelt is off but did I want to change the 2 toothed belts - guide belts were how he phrased it - too. At 120 each!
Now the bill will be enough as it is without adding another 250 but just wondered if anyone knew what he was on about.
Presumably they don't consider it a standard part of the belt change but am I being stung for unecessary work or is this sensible while they're in there.
Any info gratefully received.

You shouldn't have to get it done mate. Where abouts do you live any way.

They've given me the choice but it was the comment "oh we keep these in stock sir" which made me wonder if it was a, maybe not entirely unecessary, change but a good earner all the same.
Can't quite believe the cost of the belts.
I'm in Swindon

How much did it cost you mate. I just had mine done. I live in Birmingham but went out of the city because of 'trust issues' and on a recommendation.
