Hi guys , after an engine for my 52 bug eye wrx and found this wrx 300 uk on a 2001, it's damaged n/s/f and n/s/r what would any body think its worth ? Done 115k supposed engine rebuild 2k ago ! All I want is the engine really and break the rest , guy wants £1500 didn't sell on eBay for £1750 how does this sound ?

 

if the engine has done 115k then you're wasting your money, unless theres proof of the rebuild. I got an 80k engine for £450 and you can get a closed deck for not much more.

There would have to be over a grands worth of parts left on that 300 to make it worthwhile.

 

Speak to A.p.i mate as they do have on the shelf engines with standard internals and are sold at a decent price, plus the piece of mind that it's from a reputable company and wont sail you down the river!

 

cheers chaps will have to have a look ! need a turbo aswell , was thinking of a quick easy transplant with a few other bits i could rob off it.

 

My mate in leicester is breaking an sti v4 and has an excellent engine and VF22 turbo for sale. I think its all still in the car and can be heard running. Not too far from you either.

Are the wheels, front lights, interior and rear spoiler intact ???.........if they are and the engine is in good fettle and you like the "300" look then it's just about break even on parts..

Front bumper / lights are squashed on n/s 1 wheel no good ! Spoiler and interior all ok , by the look of it , it's been parked for sometime !
